American depositary receipts of European stocks were trading 0.70% higher at 126.69 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Tuesday.
In continental Europe, the gainers were led by semiconductor company STMicroelectronics ( STM ) and furniture maker Natuzzi ( NTZ ), which rose 5% and 2.9% respectively. They were followed by kidney dialysis company Fresenius Medical Care ( FMS ) and computer hardware maker Logitech ( LOGI ), which were up 2.4% each.
The decliners in continental Europe were led by pharmaceutical company Oasmia Pharmaceutical ( OASM ) and medical device maker Edap (EDAP), which fell 3.3% and 2.9% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Ascendis Pharma (ASND) and brewing company AB InBev (BUD), which were off 1.1% and 0.8%.
In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company Motif Bio Motif Bio (MTFB) and biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL), which rose 4.7% and 4.3% respectively. They were followed by Trinity Biotech (TRIB) and biopharmaceutical company Adaptimmune Therapeutics (ADAP), which were up 1.6% and 1.5%.
The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by gene therapy company Nightstar (NITE) and telecommunications operator Vodafone Group (VOD), which lost 1.7% and 0.7% respectively. They were followed by information and analytics provider RELX PLC (RELX) and airline operator Ryanair (RYAAY), which were down 0.6% and 0.3%.
