American Depositary Receipts of European stocks were trading 0.07% higher at 138.28 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Friday.
In continental Europe, the gainers were led by pharmaceutical company Oasmia Pharmaceutical ( OASM ), which surged 8.6%, followed by marketing company Criteo ( CRTO ), which rose 1.6%. Hotel booking site Trivago ( TRVG ), and computer hardware maker Logitech ( LOGI ) were up 1.5% and 1.3%.
The decliners in continental Europe were led by biotech company MorphoSys ( MOR ), and online dating site operator Spark Networks (LOV), which fell 5.3% and 3.6% respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical firm Sanofi (SNY), and health care company Novartis (NVS), which were off 1.5% and 1.1%.
In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical firm Midatech Pharma (MTP), and mining company Randgold Resources (GOLD), which rose 4.2% and 2.2% respectively. They were followed by Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), and telecommunications company BT Group (BT), which were up 2.2% and 1.7%.
The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical companies Adaptimmune Therapeutics (ADAP), NuCana (NCNA), Verona Pharma (VRNA), and Amarin (AMRN), which fell 7.1%, 3.7%, 3%, and 2% respectively.
