European ADRs Edge Higher as Financial Services Stocks Rise, 3D Printer-Makers Post Mixed Fortunes

American depository receipts of European stocks were 0.5% higher at 121.75 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Tuesday morning.

Gainers in Continental Europe were led by Marine Harvest ( MHG ), a Norwegian seafood company, 3.0% higher, followed by Materialise ( MTLS ), a Belgium-based 3D-printing company, up by 2.8% and Criteo ( CRTO ), a French technology company specializing in digital performance marketing, 2.6% higher.

In the UK, Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, was 3.7% higher, followed by Barclays Bank ( BCS ), up by 2.6% and financial services provider Prudential (PUK), 2.6% higher.

Decliners in Continental Europe were led by ArcelorMittal (MT), a Luxembourg steelmaker, 2.8% lower, followed by Ascendis Pharma (ASND), a Danish clinical stage biopharmaceutical company, also 2.8% lower and voxelJet (VJET), a German 3D-printer manufacturer, down by 2.2%.

And, in the UK, Randgold Resources (GOLD), a gold mining business, was down by 1.8%, Midatech Pharma, an early-stage biopharmaceutical company, was 1.4% lower and Trinity Biotech (TRIB), a manufacturer of medical diagnostic products, was also 1.4% lower.
