Weighed down by losses in the energy complex, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was trading fractionally lower on Monday after coming within one point from the 20,000 milestone on Friday. Oil futures dropped by nearly 3% amid concerns that ramped-up U.S. production will offset production cuts proposed by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries late last year.

The Nasdaq, however, set another record high on sustained gains in the technology sector, specifically on strength in Apple ( AAPL ) and semiconductor stocks.
