Energy Sector Update for 11/30/2016: USO, UNG

Energy shares were mainly higher in pre-market trade on Wednesday as crude oil futures surged.

Light, sweet crude oil for January delivery was up 7.9% at $48.811 per barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil was 5.3% higher at $0.85 per gallon while natural gas was 0.4% lower at $1.61 British thermal units.

In energy ETFs, the United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was up 8% at $10.86 while the United States Natural Gas ETF ( UNG ) was up 0.1% at $8.39.
