Energy Sector Update for 10/09/2015: USO, UNG, PBA

Energy shares were mixed in pre-market trade Friday as crude oil futures advanced.

Light, sweet crude oil for November delivery was up 0.9% at $50.31 per barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil was up 1.8% at $1.39 per gallon while natural gas was up 0.3% at $2.40 British thermal units.

In energy ETFs, the United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was up 1.6% at $16.29 while the United States Natural Gas ETF ( UNG ) was down 0.1% at $11.43.

In other energy news, Canada-based midstream service provider Pembina Pipeline ( PBA ) said late Thursday it will pay a monthly cash dividend on its common stock of C$0.1525 (US$0.1172) per share on November 15 to shareholders of record on October 25.

Shares were unchanged pre-bell at $27.57, towards the lower end of the company's 52-week range between $23.01 and $42.74.
