Energy shares were unchanged in pre-market trade Tuesday as crude oil futures were lower.

Light, sweet crude oil for November delivery was up 0.5% at $44.97 per barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil was unchanged at $1.39 per gallon while natural gas was 0.3% lower at $2.45 British thermal units.

In energy ETFs, the United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was up 1.7% at $14.62 while the United States Natural Gas ETF ( UNG ) was down 1.5% at $12.09.

In other energy news,New Source Energy Partners ( NSLP ) shares were downgraded by Robert W. Baird to underperform from neutral.

Shares in the company were unchanged a $0.16 pre-bell. Over the past 52 weeks, the company has traded between $0.15 and $24.76.
