Energy Sector Update for 06/15/2016: USO, UNG, CQP

Energy shares were mainly unchanged in pre-market trade on Wednesday as crude oil futures were lower.

Light, sweet crude oil for July delivery was down 1.1% at $47.94 per barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil was 1.5% lower at $0.85 per gallon while natural gas was 0.3% higher at $1.61 British thermal units.

In energy ETFs, the United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was down 1.2% at $11.59 while the United States Natural Gas ETF ( UNG ) was 0.6% higher at $7.91.

And, in other energy news, Cheniere Energy Partners ( CQP ) and Cheniere Energy ( LNG ) said their Sabine Pass Liquefaction unit has agreed to sell $1.5 billion in bonds to unnamed initial purchasers represented by financial services provider Credit Suisse ( CS ).

Shares in the company were unchanged at $30.42 pre-bell. The stock has traded between $19.22 and $33.64 over the past 52 weeks.
