Energy Sector Update for 05/31/2018: USO, UNG, KEN, HMLP

Energy shares were lower in pre-market trading Thursday. The EIA releases its much-watched domestic oil inventories bulletin at 10:30 am, and its natural-gas inventories post at 11 am.

Light, sweet crude oil for July delivery was down 0.7% at $67.55 per barrel, while natural gas was up fractionally at $2.94 per million Btu.

In energy ETFs, the United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was down 1.3% at $13.64 while the United States Natural Gas ETF ( UNG ) was up 1.5% at $23.72.

- Kenon Holdings ( KEN ): swings to Q1 profit, revenue increases vs. prior year

- Hoegh LNG Partners LP ( HMLP ): posts Q1 EPS beat, misses on revenue
