Enbridge Inc. (ENB.TO) edged up less than 1% to $36.27 on the Toronto Stock Exchange from yesterday's $36.24 close after announcing today the closing of its acquisition of a 71% interest in Phases 1 and 2 of the Cabin Gas Plant Development, which together will be capable of processing 800 million cubic feet per day (Mmcf/d) of natural gas.
The company said that upon completion of Phases 1 and 2, its total investment is expected to be approximately $1.1 billion.
ENB shares are heavily traded today on the TSX with more than 2.3 million shares that have already changed hands.
