Edison International ( EIX ) shares are marginally higher after its Southern California Edison (SCE) business said it is considering voluntarily submitting a license amendment request to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission ( NRC ) to support the restart of Unit 2 of the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.
The amendment is consistent with SCE's plan to operate the unit's steam generators at 70% power as a conservative safety measure.
EIX is up 0.04% at $50.40 in a 52-week range of $41.42 - $51.24.
