2350 - Japan - Business Sentiment Index for Q3

  • 'Large all industry', prior -7.9
  • 'Large Manufacturing', prior -11.1

0130GMT - NAB Business Confidence and Conditions for August

  • priors 4 for Confidence and 8 for Conditions

0200GMT - China - August Industrial Production

  • m/m expected 6.2%, prior 6.0%
  • y/y expected 6.0% and prior 6.0%

0200GMT - China - Retail Sales and Fixed asset (excluding rural) investment for August

  • Retail sales expected 10.2% y/y and 10.2% prior
  • Fixed asset investment, expected 7.9% and prior 8.1%

Most focus will be on the Australian confidence and conditions data and the China data - I'll be back with more on both. The RBA speech is a wild card - the likelihood is it'll be nothing, but you never know.
