Home builder D.R. Horton, Inc. ( DHI ) on Friday reported a smaller fourth quarter loss in comparison to last year, despite lower revenue.
The Fort Worth, TX-based company reported a fiscal fourth quarter net loss of $8.9 million, or 3 cents per share, compared with $234.9 million, or 74 cents per share, in the year-ago period.
Revenue fell 8% from last year to $925.7 million.
On average, Wall Street analysts expected a slightly worse loss of 4 cents per share, on lower revenue of $854 million.
D.R. Horton shares fell 24 cents, or -2%, in premarket trading Friday.
