In early trading on Thursday, shares of DuPont ( DD ) topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 1.2%. Year to date, DuPont registers a 5.7% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is Verizon Communications ( VZ ), trading down 1.6%. Verizon Communications is lower by about 8.2% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Caterpillar ( CAT ), trading down 1.0%, and Boeing ( BA ), trading up 0.7% on the day.
