Deere names COO John May as CEO

Aug 29 (Reuters) - Farm equipment maker Deere & Co DE.N on Thursday named Chief Operating Officer John May as chief executive officer, effective Nov. 4.

May, 50, was named COO in April 2019, replacing Samuel Allen, who will continue as chairman after he steps down from the CEO position, the company said.

The Moline, Illinois-based company said May will join the board effective immediately.
