Currie Rose Resources Looks For Potential Acquisitions To Build Shareholder Value; Shares Up 50%

Currie Rose Resources Inc (CUI.V), is examining several resource properties of merit in various jurisdictions for a potential project acquisition. The company has current working capital of $1.1 million with no debt. It currently has operations in Tanzania.

President and CEO Harold Smith said in a statement that Currie Rose has quality assets in Tanzania that do warrant additional exploration, but it is also time to pursue new opportunities elsewhere around the globe and we have already started that process.

At three cent today, Currie Rose shares are trading at less than a tenth of their value from a year ago.

Smith also said Currie Rose has limited overhead expenses, so its current cash position is more than adequate to fund its needs going into 2012, and build shareholder value.
