Top Consumer Stocks
Consumer stocks were recording solid gains in Monday afternoon trading, with shares of consumer staples companies in the S&P 500 advancing 1.2% while shares of consumer discretionary firms in the S&P 500 were climbing over 1.1%.
In company news, shares of AerCap ( AER ) rose Monday after it announced a deal with Kazakhstan's flag carrier for three Airbus A321neo and one A320neo airliner.
Air Astana will use the new jets on its domestic and international routes. Financial terms of the transactionwere not disclosed.
AER shares were up almost 3% at $41.63 apiece, earlier climbing to a session high of $41.91 a share.
In other sector news,
(+) JOB, (+7.9%) Acquires Access Data Consulting for un disclosed amount. The information-technology provider gemerated around $21 million in revenue and EBITDA of $2.5 million during FY14 and is expected to boost JOB per-share earnings after the deal closes.
