Juhani Hintikka was appointed CEO of Comptel in January 2011. Prior to Comptel, Juhani worked for Nokia Networks and NSN in 1999-2010 and held various executive roles ranging from general management to research and development, services and sales. Juhani participated in the pioneering work to create alternative wireless standards and was one of the founders of the WiMAX standard and Forum in 2002; dividing his time between Finland and Silicon Valley. He continues to seek inspiration from the US and follows the technology scene there. Juhani also spends a large part of this time in Asia and other key growth markets. His outside work interests range from reading history to freeride skiing in the winter and sailing in the summer.
