Commodities finished trading lower as both crude oil and gold ended in the red. Natural gas pared some prior-session losses to finish up over 1%.
Light, sweet crude for July delivery finished down 2.6% at $99.29 a barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil was down 1.21% to $3.09 a gallon while natural gas was up 1.90% to $4.76 per million British thermal units.
In energy ETFs, the United States Oil Fund (USO) is down 2.47% to $39.15. The United States Natural Gas ETF (UNG) is up 1.85% at $12.10.
Gold for August delivery finished down 0.9% to $1,529.20 an ounce. In other metal futures, silver was down $3.07 to $37.40 a troy ounce while copper traded down 1.35% to $4.05.
