Carpathian Gold Up 6% On Romania Drill Results; Intersects 438 Metres 0.83 g/t Gold

Carpathian Gold Inc. (CPN.TO) is ahead nearly 6% at 73 cents a share after saying assays of drill samples from its Rovina Valley project in west-central Romania further identified three gold-copper porphyries discovered by the junior mining company.

Assay results from 10 drill-holes representing 8,651 metres of drilling included 438 metres of 0.83 grams gold per ton of ore as well as 0.19% copper. Other perimeter holes produced grades of between 0.67 grams to 0.71 grams gold over intercepts as long as 360 metres. Copper grades as high as 0.20% also were reported.
