Carnival Corporation 's CCL Princess Cruises recently announced its Europe itinerary for 2017. The cruise brand will deploy a number of ships from Barcelona, Athens and Rome next year that will go around Europe, and stop at important cultural ports.
The 2017 cruise vacations to Europe include the maiden sailing of the line's newest ship Majestic Princess. Six ships would travel to 119 destinations from Mediterranean ports to the northern parts of Europe. Customers have the option to select from as many as 64 exclusive schedules on offer on 153 cruises, across 27 countries.
Majestic Princess will debut in Apr 2017. It will set sail with 5 to 28-day voyages.
In addition to Majestic Princess, the Royal Princess ship will also set sail in the Mediterranean waters. Regal Princess along with Crown Princess and Pacific Princess will take guests to the shores of Scandinavia & Russia, offering an overnight stay in St. Petersburg, with departures from London.
Guests can also enrich their European travel with five unique Land & Sea Vacation options, which combine certain sailings with a fully-escorted land tour. Choices include Paris and the French Countryside; Ireland's Ring of Kerry; Classic Italy, popular sites in Venice, Florence and Rome; Imperial Treasures of Budapest, Vienna, Prague and Berlin; and Swiss Splendors featuring the mountain beauty of Interlaken and Lucrene, as well as a scenic boat trip on Lake Como.
Carnival is especially optimistic about the growth prospects in the Europe market. The country boasts a rapidly developing cruise market with passenger numbers soaring over the past few years, which are expected to rise further. The growing middle-class with high disposable income makes these markets an attractive bet for Carnival. Moreover, increasing number of ports and tourist destinations in the continent present tremendous growth opportunity for cruise operators.
