Canadian Natural Resources Says Operations Not Affected by Alberta Forest Fires

Canadian Natural Resources Ltd (CNQ.TO,CNQ) is trending lower but remains up $0.19 to $39.60 a share after saying its operations in northern Alberta have not yet been adversely affected by the forest fires in the Fort McMurray region.

According to the company, a fire barrier in place about 150 kilometers from its Chelsea Lodge camp has been successful diverting the forest fire away from the camp and Horizon Oil Sands site. It also said0.19 it has begun steps to minimalize the potential impact of its Horizon facilities and its operations.
