Canadian home sales rise in May for third straight month -CREA

Resales of Canadian homes rose 1.9% in May from the previous month, the third straight month of gains, the Canadian Real Estate Association said on Friday.

TORONTO, June 14 (Reuters) - Resales of Canadian homes rose 1.9% in May from the previous month, the third straight month of gains, the Canadian Real Estate Association said on Friday.

The industry group said actual sales, not seasonally adjusted, rose 6.7% from a year earlier, while the group's Home Price Index was down 0.6% from May last year.
