Yields were marginally higher compared to late Friday's levels as risk on trades impacted slightly, although yields remained below the levels seen just ahead of the U.S. employment report on Friday. The 10-year was at 1.402%, up from the intra-day low of 1.3258% seen Friday but below the 1.44% area seen just ahead of U.S. payrolls. The 2-year was holding near 0.500%, also in the middle of its Friday range (0.4492% 0.530%). Meanwhile, global stocks were in rally mode, choosing to focus on further extension of the Fed stimulus as rate hike prospects scroll into next year. The domestic calendar is empty today, but is busy the rest of the week, with trade, employment and the BoC business outlook survey expected to highlight.
