Canada Market Outlook
GoCs were sharply lower as equities climbed higher globally, with Canadian bonds caught up in the wave of global bond losses. Stocks in Europe and Asia were better than 2% higher, although China's stock markets lagged with an 0.5% gain in the Shanghai Composite and 0.3% rise in the Shenzhen Composite. NYMEX crude oil was oscillating around US$45, improving to $45.11 per bbl after tumbling to $44.71 overnight from the session high $45.60 seen Tuesday. The 10-year had climbed to 1.47% from the 1.415% low seen late Tuesday. Today's calendar has July GDP at 8.30am ET, expected to rise 0.1% m/m.
