Cameco Falls in TSX, U.S. As Q2 Profit Drops 22% on Lower Uranium Earnings

Cameco Corporation (CCO.TO) fell by about 3% to $23.87 on the Toronto Stock Exchange and was also down in the United States at US$24.58 after announcing that its profit for the second quarter dropped by 22% to $54 million, or 14 cents per share, from the previous year's $70 million, or 18 cents a share. The company said the drop is attributable to lower quarterly uranium sales that pushed revenue down 22% to $426 million from $546 million.
