Cameco Down 3.5% in U.S. Pre-Trade After Blast at French Nuke Waste Facility; Other U308 Miners Affected May Be UUU.TO, FIU.TO, U.TO, PWE.TO, URE.TO, FDC.TO, BYU.TO, BSK.TO, ESO.TO

Cameco Corp (CCO.TO,CYE) was off as much as 3.5 percent this morning, paring its losses slightly just before the bell in U.S. pre-Trade after an explosion at a nuclear waste-storage facility in southern France. One person was killed in the blast but no apparent leak of radioactive material in Marcoule, France's ASN nuclear watchdog said.

Marcoule is a nuclear waste management site that does not include any reactors. The explosion took place near a furnace, an ASN spokesperson told Reuters.
