Cameco Corp (CCO.TO), Canada's largest uranium producer, has edged up in U.S. premarket trading despite saying first quarter earnings decreased to $91 million or 23 cents a share, compared with $143 million or 36 cents a share in the previous corresponding period.
It is at US$28.67, +0.09 (0.31%). It last traded on the TSX at $27.68.
When adjusted to remove one-time items, earnings were $85 million or 21 cents a share, down from $112 million or 28 cents a share.
Revenue fell 6% to $454 million.
