U.S. stocks were on track to open lower on Wednesday, as fears resurfaced of a possible escalation in the trade war between the United States and China following reports that Washington could impose sanctions on another Chinese company. .N.N/P

At 9:11 ET, Dow e-minis 1YMc1 were down 0.31% at 25,794. S&P 500 e-minis ESc1 were down 0.38% at 2,855.25, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis NQc1 were down 0.62% at 7,417.75.
