Brigadier Gold Higher Today; Miner Re-Schedules Special Board Meet to Jan. 30 to Hear Dissident Proposals

Brigadier Gold Ltd (BRG.V) is ahead a penny this afternoon at 5 cents a share in light trade and the company saying it has re-scheduled a special meeting of shareholders to Jan. 30, 2012, to hear proposed changes advocated by a dissident slate of shareholders hoping to oust as many as three of the company's current board members while increasing the overall size of the board to five members, up from its current four.

The meeting originally had been slated for Jan. 13, 2012. Brigadier today also said that Leger had resigned as a director of the Company; he was not one of the director the dissident group had been seeking to oust.
