Braeval Mining Reports Abductions in Colombia; Shares Fall 20%

Braeval Mining Corporation (BVL.TO) reported that earlier this morning at the company's Snow Mine project in Colombia, three employees and two consultants were abducted.

Media reports quoted Colombia's military chief as saying the five, a Canadian, two Peruvians and two Colombians, were seized by the country's second largest rebel group.

The company said it is fully cooperating with efforts of the authorities to ensure the safety and health of its employees and consultants.

BVL shares fell nine cents to $0.35 on volume of 105,000.
