BlackRock Started as an “Outperform” at Wells Fargo (BLK)

Investment manager BlackRock, Inc. ( BLK ) on Thursday saw its coverage initiated with an "Outperform" rating by analysts at Wells Fargo.

The firm noted that despite being an industry leader, BLK has underperformed its peers year-to-date. Since the beginning of 2010, the stock is down nearly 28%.

BlackRock shares were mostly flat in premarket trading Thursday.
