Best/Worst Daily ETF Returns: Gold Miners Soar
The Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSEArca:GDX) gained 4.11 percent on Wednesday, March 6, leading the seven precious metals mining funds that populated the best performers' list for the day. U.S.-listed ETF assets skyrocketed to a new asset record, hitting $1.442 trillion, and the Dow jumped another 42.47 points, or 0.30 percent, to close at 14,296.24.
