General Outlook:

Chart of the day : Waste Management's business .

Comment of the day , from Seen It Before :

What's sad about the 1000s of retirement and pension crisis articles we continue to read is that the financial markets, which provide the greatest potential most people count on for wealth creation, are at historic highs. We ALL know what this means for future returns and it's not promising. When the predictable bear market starts and hits full stride what, then, will the message be that financial writers publish about the retirement and pension crisis? Seriously, what can the message be that actually helps convince people to alter their actions that has not already been written?

Image of the day : The Eisenhower/Johnson Tunnels, Colorado.

Fun fact of the day :

The Eisenhower/Johnson tunnels, which carry Interstate 70, have the reputation of being the highest point in the U.S. Interstate system. The elevation at the west portal of the tunnels is at 11,158 feet.
