Batero Gold Paring Earlier Losses After Securing $6.8M in New Funding for Columbian Gold Project

Batero Gold Corp. (BAT.V) is off its lows for the session, currently trading at $1.99 a share and the company saying it has completed the sale of 3.45 million equity units priced at $2.10 each.

After underwriting fees are deducted, Batero will receive about $6.8 million in net proceeds for exploration at the Batero-Quinchia gold project, in Colombia. The company also could pocket up to $4.7 million more if investors and underwriters fully exercise purchase warrants available to them over the next two years.
