Barrick Gold Down in TSX, U.S.; Receives Zambian Clearance for Equinox Acquisition

Barrick Gold Corporation (ABX.TO) went down by 66 cents to $45.78 on the Toronto Stock Exchange and was lower by 17 cents at US$47.22 in the United States after announcing that it has received the unconditional approval of the Zambian Competition and Consumer Protection Commission for its proposed acquisition of Equinox Minerals Limited (EQN.TO).

Barrick said all required regulatory approvals for the offer have now been received.
