B2Gold Corp. (BTO.TO) is building on its early gains, with shares now up more than 5% to $3.49 after the miner said initial assay results confirm significant gold-bearing mineralization within multiple zones at its newly discovered Cebollati gold property in Uruguay.

B2Gold is earning an 80% interest in Cebollati by paying US$1 million in stages through Jan. 31, 2012, as well as funding exploration work at the property. The 2011 exploration and drilling program at Cebollati is budgeted for US$4.5 million with a total of 8,500 metres scheduled to be drilled.
