Avion Gold Corp Up Nearly 5%, But No Fresh News Today

Avion Gold Corp (AVR.TO) is up nearly 5% at $1.72 and has touched $1.75 with around 6.6 million shares traded although there is no fresh stock specific news around today.

June 6, AVR announced that it had executed a purchase agreement with African Goldfields Corporation under which Avion has agreed to acquire AGC's 12.5% interest in the Kofi Nord and Netekoto-Kenieti concessions forming part of the Kofi Gold Project in Mali for total consideration of CAD $65,000 in cash and 200,000 common shares of Avion.
