Asian ADRs Move Lower in Wednesday Trading

American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.11% lower at 142.47 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Wednesday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by online game publisher Gravity ( GRVY ) and solar panel manufacturer Yingli Green Energy ( YGE ), which rose 4.4% and 3.3% respectively. They were followed by media companies Phoenix New Media ( FENG ), up 2.7%, and Hong Kong Television Network ( HKTVY ), higher 2.4%.

The decliners in North Asia were led by advertising firm VisionChina Media ( VISN ) which shed 7.7%, followed by Woori Bank (WF), which lost 3.9%. Xunlei (XNET), a cloud-based acceleration technology company, fell 3.8%, and telecommunications service provider KT (KT) dropped 3%.

In South Asia, the only gainers were IT services firm SIFY Technologies (SIFY), which surged 6.5%, and Indonesian telecommunications company Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), which rose 1.4%.

Natural resources company Vedanta (VEDL) led the decliners in South Asia, falling 1.5%, followed by ICICI Bank (IBN), and Indian automaker Tata Motors (TTM), which dropped 1.2% and 1%, respectively. WNS Holdings (WNS), a provider of business process management services lost 0.7%.
