Asian ADRs Move Lower in Monday Trading

American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.78% lower at 148.72 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Monday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by solar equipment maker SPI Energy ( SPI ), and mobile enterprise solutions provider Kingtone Wirelessinfo Solution ( KONE ), which climbed 4.9% and 2.7% respectively. They were followed by Chinese steel company Ossen Innovation ( OSN ), and commercial real estate firm GDS Holdings ( GDS ), which rose 2.3% each.

The decliners in North Asia were led by fables semiconductor company Himax Technologies ( HIMX ), and ReneSola (SOL), a provider of energy-efficient products, shed 7% and 4.7% respectively. They were followed by Jumei (JMEI), an online retailer of beauty products, down 3.9%, and electronics and entertainment company Sony (SNE), off 3.6%.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by IT company Infosys (INFY), and Philippines telecommunications provider PLDT (PHI), which were up 0.7% and 0.2% respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), and direct-to-home video provider Videocon d2h (VDTH), each of which edged 0.1% higher.

ICICI Bank (IBN) led the decliners in South Asia, falling 2.4%, followed by automobile manufacturer Tata Motors (TTM), which was off 2%. HDFC Bank (HDB) was down 1%, while Indonesian telecommunications company Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) edged 0.2% lower.
