Asian ADRs Move Higher in Wednesday Trading

American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.23% higher at 144.68 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Wednesday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by solar park operator Sky Solar Holdings Ltd. ( SKYS ) and B2B platform JMU Limited ( JMU ), which surged 11.6% and 10.6% respectively. They were followed by beverage company China New Borun ( BORN ) and mobile content aggregator Qutoutiao ( QTT ), which climbed 9.6% and 6.7%.

The decliners in North Asia were led by online game operator The9 ( NCTY ) and China Techfaith Wireless Communication (CNTF), which fell 7.3% and 6.9% respectively. They were followed by social networking website Renren (RENN) and educational services provider RISE (REDU), which were down 6.6% and 5.4%.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) and IT company Wipro (WIT), which rose 1.6% and 1.4% respectively. They were followed by HDFC Bank (HDB) and telecommunications provider PLDT (PHI), which were up 1.2% and 0.7%.

Biotech firm ASLAN (ASLN) led the decliners in South Asia, tumbling 11.9%, followed by IT company SIFY Technologies (SIFY), business process management services provider WNS Holdings (WNS), and automaker Tata Motors (TTM), which were down 2.3%, 1.4%, and 1.2% respectively.
