American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.61% higher at 131.61 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Tuesday.
In North Asia, the gainers were led by IT company Wowo Ltd. ( JMU ), up 8.3%, followed by CNInsue ( CISG ), a financial services provider in China, higher 5.2%. Online retailer LightInTheBox ( LITB ) rose 4.2%, while commercial real estate developer China Techfaith Wireless Communication ( CNTF ) gained 3.4%.
The gainers in South Asia were led by Philippine Long Distance Telephone ( PHI ), up 2.7%, followed by business process management service provider WNS Holdings (WNS), higher 0.6%. Indian IT Company Wipro (WIT) and HDFC Bank (HDB) edged up 0.08% and 0.05% respectively.
Marketing and branding company Acorn (ATV) led the decliners in North Asia, falling 3.5%, followed by media company Phoenix New Media (FENG), off 3.3%. ADRs of social media platform YY Inc. (YY) were down 2.3%, while solar park operator Sky Solar Holdings (SKYS) dropped 2.1%.
And the decliners in South Asia were led by Indian natural resources firm Vedanta (VEDL), which shed 3.8%, followed by direct-to-home video provider Videocon d2h (VDTH), down 1.3%. ICICI Bank (IB N) dropped 1%, while pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) lost 0.7%
