Asian ADRs Move Higher in Monday Trading

American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.05% higher at 189.79 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Monday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by online retailer LightInTheBox ( LITB ), which soared 34.7%, followed by Vipshop ( VIPS ), which rose 4.3%. Chinese online financial planning platform Jianpu ( JT ), and technology company Xunlei ( XNET ) were up 3.5% and 3.4% respectively.

The decliners in North Asia were led by social networking company Renren ( RENN ), and airline operator China Eastern Airlines (CEA), which fell 7.8% and 6.1% respectively. They were followed by educational services provider Bright Scholar (BEDU), and Aluminum Corporation of China (ACH), which lost 5% and 4.3%.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by IT company SIFY Technologies (SIFY), which rose 2%. SIFY was followed by pharmaceutical firm Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), and IT company Infosys (INFY), which were up 0.3% and 0.1% respectively.

Telecommunications provider PLDT (PHI) led the decliners in South Asia, falling 2.5%, followed by WNS Holdings (WNS), and provider of business process management services, which was off 0.3%. HDFC Bank (HDB), and automaker Tata Motors (TTM) were down 0.1% each.
