Asian ADRs Advance as Solar Panel Manufacturer Stock Yingli Green Energy Surges

American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 2.0% higher at 129.01 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Wednesday morning.

Gainers in north Asia were led by renewable energy company Yingli Green Energy ( YGE ), 12.1% higher, followed by Bitauto ( BITA ), a provider of internet content and marketing services, up by 8.2% and online direct sales company JD.com ( JD ), 8.0% higher. Yingli Green Energy Holding Company ( YGE ) announced its subsidiary's plan to restructure its existing $157 million mid-term notes ( MTN ) due October 13.

In southern Asia, Malaysian e-payment solutions provider MOL ( MOLG ) was 7.6% higher followed by Infosys (INFY), a consulting, technology and outsourcing company, up by 3.9% and pay TV provider Videocon d2h (VDTH), up by 3.5%.

Decliners in north Asia were led by semiconductor company Actions Semiconductor (ACTS), 7.1% lower, followed by China Techfaith Wireless Communication (CNTF), a mobile solutions provider, down by 3.9% and China Sunenergy (CSUN), a manufacture of solar cell products, 3.2% lower.

In southern Asia, SIFY (SIFY), an integrated information and communications technology solutions company, slid by 1.8% while Vedanta (VEDL), a diversified natural resources company, contracted by 1.7%.
