Asian ADRs Advance as Consumer Products and Services Gain

American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 1.4% higher at 135.47 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Monday morning.

Gainers in north Asia were led by Jumei ( JMEI ), an online retailer of beauty products, 7.9% higher, followed by Melco Crown Entertainment ( MPEL ), an owner and operator of casino gaming and entertainment resort facilities, up by 6.5% and Yingli Green Energy ( YGE ), a solar panel manufacturer, 6.2% higher.

In southern Asia, Indian car manufacturer Tata Motors ( TTM ), advanced by 5.4% while Indonesian telecommunication company Telekomunikasi Indonesia ( TLK ) rose by 4.4% and Vedanta (VDL), a diversified natural resources company, lifted by 3.9%.

Decliners in north Asia were led by Autohome (ATHM), an online destination for automobile consumers, 5.9% lower, followed by online discount retailer Vipshop (VIPS), 2.4% lower and internet television company Youku.com (YOKU), down by 2.1%.

And, in southern Asia, SIFY (SIFY), an information and communications technology solutions company, slid by 1.8%.
