ASIA ECONOMICS: Asian Shares Rise

Major stocks indexes in the Asia-Pacific region closed in the green on Tuesday, with Japanese shares leading gains as investors remain optimistic China and the U.S. could reach a trade deal later in the week when the two delegations meet in Beijing, said Trading Economics. The Nikkei 225 jumped 531 points or 2.6% to 20,864, the first trading day of the week after a public holiday on Monday; the Shanghai Composite went up 18 points or 0.7% to 2,672; the Hang Seng edged up 27 points or 0.1% to 28171; the Kospi rose 10 points or 0.5% to 2,190; and the ASX 200 closed 18 points or 0.3% higher at 6,079.
