I am sure there are hundreds of investors trying to figure out what happened to their AAPL stock this morning. I mean it was over $600 when I went to bed, but I wake up and PANIC!
AAPL split 7-1, so you now have 7 shares for every one you used to have. The stock price was divided by 7 and the earnings will be divided by seven. The amount of shares outstanding, yeah they were multiplied by 7 so at the end of the day its a wash... but is it?
Will this lower price on the stock bring in more retail investor who would normally not buy "just 10 shares" of a stock that was $650? Is there a flood of buying coming?
Is there a measure of panic in some investors as they see their stock price down to levels it hasn't been in years!
