Analyst Actions: Wi-Lan Offer For Mosaid Seen More Attractive Than It Looks

Jonathon Skeels of Virgina-based equity research firm Davenport & Co. reportedly argued the $480 million offer from Wi-Lan (WIN.TO) for Mosaid Technologies (MSD.TO) is more attractive than it looks.

"Competing bids are unlikely as Mosaid does not make strategic sense for other patent licensing companies and is not a natural fit for larger operating companies," the analyst told clients on Friday, the Financial Post said.

Mosaid is down 24 cents at $39.96, having touched a day high $40.68 Thursday.
