Alternative Investments: David Tepper Comments at SALT 2014 - More Cautious on US and Europe Markets

Indices are modestly lower this morning in the pre-market. Critically, Europe's GDP numbers fell short of expectations, and ECB's latest Survey of Professional Forecasters report suggests lower inflation.

Hedge fund manager, David Tepper, who had previously been extremely bullish on the overall market, has become decidedly more cautious.

"I'm not saying go short, I'm just saying don't be too...long right now," the founder of Appaloosa Management said Wednesday at SkyBridge Capital's SALT 2014 conference in Las Vegas.

Tepper remains concerned regarding deflation, lackluster growth in the US (which is a reversal from prior remarks), and a European Central Bank that needs to ease monetary policy (and might not).
