Almaden Minerals Up After Intersecting Gold, Silver at Ixtaca Zone at Tuligtic Project

Almaden Minerals Ltd. (AMM.TO) is well off its best levels of the day but is hanging on to a 4-cent advance at $2.18 a share after new assays of the main Ixtaca zone at the company's Tuligtic project intersected 45.49 meters of 0.45 grams gold per ton of ore and 34.2 grams silver per ton as well as 113.4 meters of 0.41 grams gold and 34.2 grams silver per ton.

The Company currently has four drills operating on the project and expects to resume drilling in early 2012 following a holiday break.
